Yes! Crazy or not, we are just a few weeks away from finals week. The semester is going so fast that you probably don't believe that finals are just around the corner, but yes, I have to tell you that the rush time is going to start in a couple of days.

Definitely, this sounds stressful, but no worries you are not the only one, and I am here to give you valuable advice and also to let you know that you are not alone.

So, time to get ready, do your best, trust in yourself, and study, of course. Let's read carefully to find good options to get ready.

Check your deadlines

First of all, take your syllabus and check the deadlines for your projects, essays, and activities. Also, make sure to know when your finals are, and if you are not sure about the dates, ask your professor! We don't want to miss an important date, especially in that week.

Write down everything or set up reminders

Writing down your due dates is going to be really helpful and if you don't like to write them down in a notebook, you can also set up reminders in your calendar. For example, Google Calendar is a good tool to keep everything together and organize. Also, setting up reminders on your phone can help you to remember dates.

Make a schedule and organize your time

There is time for everything, if you don't want to be struggling with all your activities, I will highly recommend you create a schedule for yourself where you can set up a time to work on your assignments and also to make other activities that you want because just studying is not an option, you also need to detract a little bit. For that reason, time management is key!

Take a breath, and take time to care of yourself

It's not all about studying! At some point, you will need to rest. I recommend you take a breath at some point to let the stress go, so make something different, pay attention to self-care, eat your favorite food, or read a book. Make something that you love and can help you to put your mind apart from the books for a time.

Eat well! Try to keep a healthy diet

Don't forget to eat! Eating is really important because that is going to help your body work. So, during that week, try to balance your food with a good diet of vegetables, protein, and carbohydrates. Also, keep yourself hydrated, and drink enough water! In the same way, don't forget to treat yourself at some point with something sweet, you will deserve it, for sure.

Rest and sleep well

Sleeping well is super important to be awake and with good energy the next day. I know it can be challenging because during finals week nights feel like mornings and mornings like nights, however, rest is important, and sleeping around 7 or 8 hours is going to keep your energies up and your brain and body in good shape.

Ask for help if you need it

You are not alone! if you need help, speak up. Don't let the stress, anxiety, or doubts control you. During this week, keeping an emotional balance can be hard sometimes, but remember that you always can talk or ask. Talk to your friends if you need to express your feelings. Regarding academics, if you feel that you have doubts about a lecture or an assignment, ask your professor or make an appointment for office hours, they would love to help you succeed.

Be involved in Campus Activities

This is optional but I will recommend you to take advantage of the events that take place during finals week on campus because sometimes some fun and different activities can be great for you.

These are my pieces of advice for you! I hope it works and helps you a little to get ready and survive. Wishing you the best, and always believe in yourself. You got this!
