The fall season is starting to fall on in! The weather drastically changes from sunny and hot to windy and cold. With the change in weather comes a change in clothing. It is time to switch your wardrobe from tank tops and shorts to multiple layers of clothes to keep you warm.

September to November can be challenging in terms of fashion because, let’s be honest, how often do you switch out your outfit because it doesn’t fit the weather? This frustration has made autumn known as "Sweater Season," as it is the best time to throw on an oversized sweater with sweatpants.

While some don’t realize it, Thanksgiving is crucial for fall outfits—a day spent with family and friends where you want to dress up nicely. It’s the perfect time to pull the boots from the closet and get stylish.

The ideal thing about fall fashion is that mixing and matching outfits is common, and adding accessories enhances the outfit. One day, a long sleeve and a skirt can work; the next, a lovely cardigan and jeans work perfectly.

The New York City Fall Fashion Week happened on Friday, Sept. 8 through Wednesday, Sept. 23, where all the latest trends from big fashion businesses present their new clothing line for the fall season.

The week was filled with runway shows, celebrity appearances, and designer parties. It was an exciting time for fashion enthusiasts and fashionistas and set the stage for the fall fashion season. According to Byrdie, “sheer is still tending” and appeared on the fashion stage again this year. This is shocking, considering that sheer clothing was first presented in 2008.

According to Forbes magazine, bright red is the color to wear this season: “Bright red was all over the runways this season,” said the journalist Sarah Bloyd.

Fashion week set the bar high, including red tops, red handbags, red lipsticks, and red shoes; the shade will soon be everywhere. Bloomington fashion director Marissa Galante Frank describes red as “strong and sexy.”

Sweaters add a cozy feel to any look and are perfect for any occasion. It is also a versatile piece of clothing that can be dressed up or down. Plus, it's a great way to stay warm and comfortable during the colder seasons. Also, the perfect bottoms to match a sweater are baggy jeans.

Baggy jeans were prominent in the 90s and have made a comeback in the past few years. They are a loose fit and comfortable around the waist to dramatize the outfit.

Many plan to be rocking bagging jeans all fall season. “So far, videos about the trend have 17 million total views on TikTok, and stores like H&M and Target have started selling the blouses. Gen Z has been using them to level up simple outfits, like jeans with platform shoes,” said Krause.

In addition to being fashionable, fall outfits allow you to express your personality easily. Fall fashion offers a wide range of colors, textures, and patterns that can create unique looks. You can easily change your look and express yourself with the right accessories. This time of the year is great to experiment with your style and have fun.
