The Houston Texans selected CJ Stroud second overall in this year's draft and the selection seems to be paying off more and more each week as Stroud proves his elite talent.

The past two weeks have been nothing short of miraculous from the rookie quarterback out of Ohio State. CJ Stroud has produced in a way that is unheard of amongst rookie quarterbacks. The young star currently leads the league in passing yards, which hasn’t been done by a rookie since the 1930s.

On top of that, he's winning football games. Stroud has led the Texans to a 5-4 record and kept them competitive in nearly every game this season. He has been historically great and immensely fun to watch.

Manchester City has been the best team in England in recent years, while Chelsea has fallen from top form. However, both teams put their best foot forward for their Premier League battle this past Sunday.

The game ended in a 4-4 draw, but the storylines around the game paired with the excellent performance of both sides makes for this game to be considered a classic.

The offensive powerhouse Erling Haaland did what he always does, securing a brace for his side. Both teams also had a defender score for their respective sides, namely Thiago Silva for Chelsea and Nathan Ake for City.

However, the main highlight of the match was the former City players that showed out for Chelsea. Raheem Sterling netted a goal early in the bout while youngster Cole Palmer scored the game tying penalty in the 90’+5’ minute.

The Las Vegas Raiders are 2-0 since firing head coach Josh McDaniels and promoting interim Head Coach Antonio Pierce.

Pierce came in and immediately made changes to the team, starting rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell and assuring stars that they would see their roles increased.

The interim Head Coach has stuck to his promises and is finding success in doing so. The Raiders defeated both the New York Giants and Jets in this two game stretch, with the stars seeing much of the action. Running-back Josh Jacobs boasted 225 yards and 2 touchdowns from scrimmage, while Davante Adams has had 10 receptions and 120 yards over the two game span.

With a 1-0 victory over Sacred Heart, LIU won the NEC Tournament for the second time in three seasons. The NEC Player of the Year, Emil Jaaskelainen, scored the only goal of the match to help LIU secure their spot in the NCAA Tournament.

The Sharks will head to Rocky Mountain State to face Denver in the opening round of the tournament.

LIU Men’s Basketball lost 84-67 in their home opener against Air Force. The Sharks had four players in double digit scoring, three of which are on their first season with the team.

Transfer junior forward, Tana Kopa, posted a double-double in his first game with the Sharks with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

The Sharks collective offense just wasn’t enough to beat the Falcons, though. They shot poor percentages from both the field (37.7%) and from three (35.3%).

Despite the loss, the new faces on the roster showed promise for the team.
