With the COVID-19, Coronavirus, going around, it has caused a lot of people to stay indoors and only go out for necessities such as groceries. With this new found time, here is a list of things to watch on Netflix, Hulu and Disney+ to try and help pass the time while staying indoors:
Netflix
1. Orange is the New Black
Piper Chapman gets convicted of a crime committed over 10 years ago after she
transported drug money for her ex-girlfriend. After being incarcerated, she finds out how
prison can really change a person's life. Starring Taylor Schilling, Laura Prepon, Danielle
Brooks and Taryn Manning.
2. Atypical
The story of Sam, an 18-year-old guy who is on the autism spectrum decides that it is
time to just like any regular guy and start to find a girlfriend as well as independence.
These thoughts start a journey for Sam and his mom as this becomes life-changing for
both of them. Starring Keir Gilchrist, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Brigette Lundy-Paine and
Michael Rapaport.
3. The End of the F***ing World
Based off of the award-winning comic book series written by Charles Forsman,
17-year-old James believes that he is a psychopath, and 17-year-old Alyssa is the new
cool but also moody girl at school. The two of their dark, confusing lives cross paths and Alyssa persuades James to go on a roadtrip to find her real father. Starring Jessica Barden and Alex Lawther.
4. You
Based on the best-selling novel written by Caroline Kepnes, Joe Goldberg (Penn
Badgley), is an extremely charming and obsessive man who takes some of the most
extreme measures to make sure he is in the lives of those who he is most mesmerized by.
What is known as a modern love story, when the dangerous behavior of Goldberg
crosses paths with an aspiring writer, the obsession grows and in his eyes, nothing will
get in the way of their love.
Hulu
1. The Good Doctor
If you are into doctor related shows, The Good Doctor is a show for you. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) is a doctor with autism and savant syndrome who is a resident at St. Bonaventure in San Jose California. Being autistic he has a difficult time connecting with people on a personal level but is very intelligent and sees solutions to problems that other residents don't see.
2.One Tree Hill
An oldie but a still a goodie in the eyes of today's society. Follow along the story of two small town basketball players, Nathan (James Lafferty), and Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray), from North Carolina. As half brothers, Nathan is the high school jock who is living the life his dad once lived while Lucas stays in the shadows. Their paths will now cross for the first time.
3. The Good Place
Follow along the story of four strangers who become friends in the afterlife to try and
figure out what it means to be good to save them from hell. Starring Kristen Bell,
William Jackson Harper, Jameela Jamil, Darcy Carden, Manny Jacinto and Ted Danson.
4. The Act
The Act is based on a true story of a young Gypsy Blanchard who is trying to get
freedom from a toxic relationship with her over protective mother. Blanchard, played by Joey King, just wants to be a normal girl, but after the secret comes out, it leads to an unexpected muder that no one saw coming.
Disney+
1. Hannah Montana
One of the original staples of childhood for anyone born in the beginning of the 2000s.
Quarantine is a perfect time to rewatch the life of Miley Stweart as she secretly lives her
double life of ordinary girl and super pop-star Hannah Montana.
2. The Suite Life of Zack and Cody
Before Cole Sprouse was loved as Jughead Jones, him and his twin brother Dylan stole
the hearts of many as Zack and Cody, two boys who lived in the Tipton Hotel and caused chaos wherever they were. Follow the lives of these two as they go through the new sweet life in Boston after their mom landed a job singing in the 5 star hotel.
3. Wizards of Waverly Place
Another great Disney throwback to watch during this is the Wizards of Waverly Place.
Rewatch everyone's favorite family of wizards as Alex, Justin and Max try to figure out life while hiding the family secret and learning how to be the best wizards they could be. The only catch, once they reach a certain age, there can only be one to carry on the Russo family wizard name.
4. Boy Meets World
What was once a popular ABC Family show in the 90’s is now a beloved classic
available on Disney+. The show follows the life of Cory Matthews (Ben Savage), who is trying to figure out the world at the start as a sixth grader all throughout college. With the help of his best friend Shawn (Rider Strong), the love of his life Topanga (Danielle Fishel), teacher Mr. Feeny (William Daniels), and brother Eric (Will Friedle), Cory learns about what the world is about, from school, to romance, to friends and everything in between.
